Something similar to it has never happened to
me, but I got a friend who was part of an exchange program some years ago. He
told me he was worried because he didn’t know where he would be living.
When he found out he was traveling to Sweden, he asked the girl in charge if
he was allowed to live by himself in an apartment; however, the girl
whose rules were unbreakable refused to let him do it, for she was the
one who decided what to do. Once in Sweden, he realized it is a shame
that making friends in a new country is not easy, so he used to do
whatever in order to avoid feeling lonely. The time went on, and he
eventually made some friends; he was invited to one of his friend’s house to
have dinner. When he got to the meeting which he was invited to, he could
see the houses that belonged to the residential were very colorful by the
way, he started eating like a horse and ate everything he was served on the
plate. When finished eating, everybody was looking at him kind of mad. He was
told by everyone that eating all the food in Sweden was considered
disrespectful, of course in CR it’s considered the other way around. Which is
why his friend’s father told him the friend he had invited to the meeting
was very disrespectful.
